About this activity
A live energy audit of a log cabin on a -30 °C January night. The big screen shows a 3D cutaway of the cabin with the evidence in it: frost on the inside of the glass, a curtain swaying in the draft at the door, a mark on the wall facing the stove. On their phones students read the particles, trace each leak (which way the energy moves and by which process) and choose the upgrade that slows that process. The class's answers light up the cabin's thermal view and the indoor temperature climbs as the fixes go in.
