Word Station

About this activity

A neon orbital station where glitchy word drones drift along docking lanes to the core. Students place scanner beacons that are rules ('is a verb', 'is an adjective') on lane pads; a beacon re-sorts only the drones whose bright word its rule is true for in that sentence, while supply pods must dock. Sectors grow from single words to shapeshifting words, two-word shields, compound-sentence splitters and whole-sentence motherships.
