Alberta Science, Grades 6 to 9

Activities for the topics students find hardest, written to Alberta's new Grade 6 science program and the draft Grades 7 to 9 curriculum.

Three activities for each of Grades 6 to 9: one to project for the whole class, one the class plays together on phones, and one for students on their own. Each one targets a topic students find hard, from the particle model and moon phases to energy stores, circuits and survivorship bias, and follows the outcome text of Alberta's new Grade 6 program or the draft Grades 7 to 9 curriculum being field tested in 2026-27.
