Fractions and Multiplication Games
Grades 3 to 6: games where doing the math is how you win
Eight games for the two places students most often get stuck. Each one is built around a real misconception, like thinking a bigger denominator means a bigger piece or that 7 × 8 can't be split into 7 × 5 + 7 × 3, and the game world shows why it fails: the mobile tips, the pancake flops, the bridge cracks. Students cut, scoop, stack, split and build the quantities themselves, every attempt is recorded for the teacher, and most work for one child at home as well as for a whole class.
